About Me

Tess Finch-Lees
I'm an Irish journalist and broadcaster, specialising in politics, ethics and human rights. I've lived in Colombia, France and Britain and have worked around the world. I speak English, Spanish and French and have an MSc in Organisational Behaviour from the University of London. As a qualified therapist, I've also worked in the NHS, Broadmoor Hospital and with vulnerable children and families in Dublin, London and Bogota. I'm a recipient of the Woman of the Year Award (for my human rights work) and have featured on BBC radio 4. I write for The Irish Independent, The UK Independent and The Guardian. I've also written for The New Statesman, The Huffington Post, The Telegraph, The Belfast Telegraph, The Financial Times, The Connacht Tribune and The Irish Times, amongst others. I've been a panellist on the BBC’s Sunday Morning Live show and have appeared on ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and Sky news. I was a cross party advisor on Sudan in the UK parliament and worked with MPs from all the main parties, campaigning against the genocide in Darfur.
