Farewell 2025: Je ne regrette rien!

Waiting for friends to arrive & blasting the song that best captures my energy exiting 2025: Edith Piaf, "Non, je ne regrette rien"!

When behaviours align with values, we're at our best. There's no dissonance, dissociation or denial, which cause mental & physical self harm & harm to others. There's solace, joy & empowerment to be found in doing the right thing: By yourself, loved ones & our communities. The best gift you can give yourself & loved ones in 2026 is a commitment to prevent harm to self & others. Mask up when sharing indoor air, get HEPAs for your home/workplace, stay home when sick, vaccinate & test. Adapt to the mass, forced infections landscape to survive. Worth noting that, if you're prepared to keep getting infected with SARS-CoV-2 repeatedly, you're prepared to infect others - repeatedly. Some of whom may become disabled &/or die. That's a scientific fact (see my articles documenting said science & previous posts). Does that align with your values? A question to ask yourself on the eve of 2026💝🙏

Not a fan of "gurus" but I like this quote: “It’s no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society” (Krisnamurti).

Ceol agus craic! 🎸

Indoor unmasked shindig made possible thanks to this game changing piece of tech. Mask off when each person tests covid negative. We had 3 Pluslife docks between 8 people (cherished friends) which accelerated the process. The Pluslife mini dock has been shown to be 99% accurate. See scientific lit👇

We also cracked the velux windows open: Not wide enough to feel chilly but enough to keep the air circulating. Easy peasy.

Forest walk & splashing about in the river🌳

Playing this for Jon Stewart & the other anti-mask lefties punching down on maskers, pretending it's 2019 & we're not still in an ongoing SARS-C-V-2 airborne,  vascular, organ damaging, mass disabling pandemic (see previous post). Cop yourselves on 😬

Nollaig Shona Daoibh! Saoirse don Phalaistín & Sudan agus síocháin don domhan

Peace, joy, anger, grief: Making room for all the feelings showing up today.  Thinking of my worldwide friends, those who don't have food, or water or peace💔...& lighting a candle for loved ones gone but not forgotten🕯

Centre piece of every Christmas since my childhood. The crib my Dad made from foraged wood. Same figurines & some of the original straw. If the house was burning down & I could only take one object, it'd be this💖🎄

To fellow woke zealots still basing personal & community safety decisions on scientific literature, as opposed to billionaire lackey politicians & press:  I applaud you💝👏💪. Takes courage, strength, integrity & titanium grade tenacity to refuse to cower in the face of relentless political violence & harm.

For anyone here who hasn't been keeping up to date, read the study below (there are so many more where that came from). It's never too late to start masking & cleaning indoor air. Every SARS2 infection is worth preventing - if you value your brain & every other organ. If, however, you're someone who doesn't need a functioning brain for your job/life & you're not afraid of a bit of early onset dementia, the odd heart attack & bouts of neuropsychiatric disorders, scroll on down to the nice sunset pics👍

This study was published yesterday,  Christmas Eve. All of the studies below & the circa 500,000 other studies showing the harm SARS-CoV-2 does are published in reputable scientific journals.  The questions we should all be asking ourselves are: Why are governments pretending these studies don't exist? Why are public health officials not informing the public of the known harms from repeated SARS2 infections(including immune damage) & advising on proven effective prevention against an airborne pathogen (ffp2/3, N95 respirator masks, HEPAs, ventilation, testing, staying home when sick, vaccination/boosters) & why are health correspondents (or anyone in the media) not reporting on these studies? 👇

Even "mild" SARS2 infection increases risk of stroke & heart attack - from weeks to years post infection👇

BMJ: Scientists admit immunity debt was codswallop. Evidence shows SARS2 causes immune dysregulation & damage👇

"Jeimy thinks that people who are unwilling to consider the possibility of immune damage are perhaps driven by a fear of what those answers might mean. “Nobody wants to be the one that says, ‘Yes, covid-19 causes disability’ [beyond long covid],” she says, alluding to the health and economic implications of such a conclusion".

"A 2025 study published in the Lancet11 tracked more than 830 000 US veterans and found that even non-admitted patients who tested positive for covid-19 had higher rates of bacterial, viral, and fungal infections in the year that followed. It also found that patients admitted to hospital with covid-19 were more likely to develop sepsis than those admitted with influenza.

Cell study12 of people with “long” covid suggests that SARS-CoV-2 infection can reprogram bone marrow stem cells, imprinting epigenetic changes that persist for at least a year, skewing some immune cells towards a state of hypersensitivity and inflammation. The findings signal a possible novel mechanism for longer term immune changes not strictly limited to populations with long covid.

Finally, a 2024 study13 of long covid by researchers at the University of California, San Francisco, found viral RNA in gut tissue two years after infection. Using positron emission tomography (PET) imaging, the team found that T cell activity was clustered in places where SARS-CoV-2 RNA—a likely marker of viral persistence—was also present."

PS: Covid is way more deadly than flu👇

TOMORROW: Protest @ Central Bank - Stop Funding Genocide

A protest, organised by the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign, will take place at the Central Bank of Ireland on North Wall Quay, tomorrow, Tuesday 9th December, from 12.30pm to 2pm.

Speakers at the CBI: Richard Boyd Barrett TD, Sen Alice-Mary Higggins, Ghada Ashour, genocide survivor from Gaza, Katie Martin, AFRI, Raymond Deane, Co-founder IPSC, Duncan Smith TD, Betty Purcell IPSC

Why? Faced with massive opposition to its complicity in genocide, the CBI, on the request of Israel, transferred the Israel Bond prospectus to CSSF (Commission de Surveillance du Secteur  Financier) in Luxembourg at some time prior to 1 September. This transfer, made at the “sole and absolute discretion” of the CBI, off-shored approval... but not complicity. Ireland remains the “home member state” for the bonds with CSSF acting as a “competent authority” of Ireland for this year.

In Dublin and Luxembourg on UN Day of Genocide Remembrance and Prevention, protests will be held at the CBI and the CSSF, joint facilitators of the sale of Israeli genocide-funding bonds, to demand end to complicity in genocide, apartheid, and occupation by these financial institutions. We call on the CBI and CSSF to end their complicity in genocide, to stop violating international law and to immediately end Israel’s impunity and ability to sell its bonds in the EU.

IPSC Chairperson Zoë Lawlor said: “The Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign condemns the duplicitous treacherous attempt by the Central Bank of Ireland to continue to enable Israel to fundraise for genocide, apartheid, and occupation in Europe by transferring them to the CSSF in Luxembourg. We applaud the solidarity movement in Luxembourg for their strong and immediate opposition to the CSSF’s approval of the bonds. We stand, in Ireland and in Luxembourg, united in total opposition to complicity in genocide.

As Omar Barghouti, founder of the BDS movement, has said: Palestinians are not begging for charity, but seeking meaningful effective solidarity. Above all Palestinians are demanding an end to complicity – they are demanding that we do no harm. There is no more egregious harm than aiding the funding of genocide. The CBI and the CSSF must stop facilitating the sale of apartheid Israel’s bonds.

Jill Manchester, Comite Paix Juste Board Member said: “On Genocide Remembrance Day, we as civil society in Luxembourg and in Ireland, protest our states’ failure to lvie up to their moral and legal duty to take all necessary measures to prevent genocide. Instead, our states and their financial bodies, the CSSF and the CBI, continue to fuel continued Israeli impunity. In Luxembourg and in Ireland, we are demanding an end to complicity in the funding of genocide, apartheid, and occupation.”

Duncan Smith TD, Labour Party said: “The Occupying Power (Securities and Handling of Settlement Goods) Bill 2025 is fundamentally about protecting workers who do not want to handle goods from the Occupied Territories. This country has a proud tradition of standing up to injustice and I want to ensure that those workers are protected”.

The bill, which is currently before Dail Eireann second stage, provides that the Central Bank shall not approve a prospectus for securities issued by or on behalf of a state that is an occupying power.

TODAY: There is NO Ceasefire. National March for Palestine in Dublin

TODAY, Saturday 29th November the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign, supported by more than 170 Irish civil society groups, is holding a National Demonstration for Palestine to International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People and call for an Irish government action to end Apartheid Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza, which has seen more than slaughtered at least 70,000 Palestinians.

It will be the eighteenth such national mobilisation since October 2023 - all of which have seen tens of thousands flood Dublin's streets in opposition to Israel's slaughter in Gaza.

Protestors will assemble at 1pm at the Garden of Remembrance on Parnell Square, and will march from there to Leinster House for a rally outside the Dáil.  There will be a disability access point outside the back gate of Trinity, at the intersection of D’Olier Street and College Green.

Speakers at the rally will include genocide survivor Miral Khaled QudaihRichard Boyd Barrett TD, actor and activist Liam Cunningham, IPSC Vice-Chair Fatin Al-Tamimi, and Noreldaim Ahmedkagho of the Ireland Sudan Solidarity Collective. There will be a poetry reading from genocide survivor Nour Hania, and performances from Aoife Scott & Andy Meaney

Speaking ahead of the protest, IPSC Chairperson Zoë Lawlor said, "There is no ceasefire in Gaza. Amnesty this week stated that 'Israel’s genocide is not over', and the Max Planck Institute has found that the violent death toll in Gaza in likely more than 100,000. All while Israeli Ministers cheer on the execution of unarmed Palestinians in the West Bank. This is why we stay on the streets and demand action from our government.

"Due to the global pressure of the mass movement for Palestine, which has seen some states begin to impose sanctions, limited as they are, the US was forced to pressure Israel into stopping, at least temporarily, its campaign of hourly mass killing. However the so-called 'ceasefire' is a fiction, and Israel has violated it at least 400 times since October 10, killing more than 300 people and injuring 700 more. Aid is still highly restricted and controlled by Israel, Gaza remains in ruins, and winter is closing in. Meanwhile Israel is busy bombing Lebanon again, while the UNSC just voted to approve the colonial Trump-Netanyahu plan for international troops to oversee the illegal occupation and continued 'slow genocide' in Gaza.

"The collective pressure from the global Palestine movement has brought us this far - and now is not the time to rest, it's the time to increase the pressure. It's imperative that we hit the streets in large numbers once again to keep piling the pressure on the Irish government which is still refusing to do even the bare minimum and pass the Occupied Territories Bill. We've seen victories thanks to our collective movement in Ireland - but we demand so, so, much more!

"We need to bring people’s rage to the government’s doorstep – no more pathetic excuses, no more hiding behind legalese, no more empty words: we want sanctions on Israel now!"

TODAY: Dáil Protest to call on Government to enact the Occupied Territories Bill

TODAY Wednesday 19th November will see a protest organised by the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign outside the Dáil ahead of a vote on a joint left opposition motion calling on the Irish government to pass the Occupied Territories Bill, including a ban on trade with both goods and services. The protest will take place at 5.30pm on Molesworth Street.

The motion calls on the government “as a matter of the utmost urgency” to “bring the Israeli Settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (Prohibition of Importation of Goods) Bill, amended to include services, before the Dáil, and do everything necessary to ensure the Bill can be enacted before the end of this year”.  Speakers at the rally will include Sinn Féin Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Donnchadh Ó Laoghaire, PBP TD Richard Boyd Barrett, and Independent Senators Alice Mary Higgins and Frances Black

IPSC Chairperson Zoe Lawlor said: "This government promised to pass the OTB after the election… then it was kicked to a Committee for review. The Committee fully endorsed it… but the government did nothing. Then they promised it after the Summer recess… and still nothing. Now, as we approach the Dáil’s Christmas break there is still silence.

"This Bill is a ‘bare minimum’ action that Ireland should have taken a long time ago – it is astounding to think that it remains stalled. We urge all TDs to support the motion: the government must stop stalling and pass the full Bill, as recommended by the Joint Committee, many of the world’s foremost legal experts, and the vast, vast majority of Irish voters!"

HIV experts "pivot" to finding treatments for Long-Covid. SARS2 is not mild, "just a cold" or over. Mask up, clean indoor air

Trigger warning: The truth about the harms caused by forced mass infection with SARS-CoV-2, a level 3 biohazard, is starting to surface. Reality & denial are on collision course. Buckle up.

Better still:

  • Wear an ffp2/3/N95 respirator mask when sharing indoor air
  • Ventilate/filtrate indoor air
HIV experts in the vid below👇

"Sars-Cov-2 can persist for long periods of time throughout the body in tissues, gut, bone marrow, brain"

"We found profound changes & inflammation in tissues"

"Residual T-cell activation across much of the body following SARS-Cov-2 infection"

It [SARS2] causes chronic inflammation which makes the immune system not work well"

"We're targeting the exact same pathways in long-covid as we did in HIV"

"We need to move beyond single therapy treatments for long-Covid". Me: Any treatment at all would be welcome. Antivirals are largely unavailable in Ireland & the UK.

God love her. Sister Conceptic, Gobnit, Attracta, scaring the bejesus out of kids with her habit & pumpkin earrings again this Halloween. Handing out penance & prayer, instead of Tayto & toffee, concomitantly spraying passing kids in holy water whilst singing hail Mary to the sound track of "Sisters are do'in it for themselves". Dóchas: Catherine Connolly wins presidential election in landslide victory.

Comhghairdeachas Catherine Connolly 💪👏👏👏

A victory for humanity, peace, unity & hope. Catherine is the embodiment of compassion & integrity 💖

Tá dóchas ann 💝

Guardian fact check required when viewing the above:

1) The video claims Catherine was little known before the presidential election. False. Catherine has been a household name - in Ireland - for many years.

2) It claims that Catherine is oft compared to Jeremy Corbyn. Codswallop. Catherine Connolly is a woman who stands in the world in her own right with her own voice, accomplishments & vision. This woman requires comparison to no man and seeks not permission nor approval for that which she has earned through her own merit, graft & grace💪🌟

Protest TOMORROW at The Dáil, 1.30pm – 3pm

Press Release, Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Tuesday 21st October 2025

A protest, organised by the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign, will take place at at The Dáil, Kildare Street, Dublin 2, TOMORROW Wednesday 22 October from 1.30pm – 3pm to demand an end to Central Bank complicity in Israel’s genocide and apartheid. The protest will happen as CBI Governor Gabriel Makhlouf appears before the Joint Committee on Finance in relation to the transfer of Israel Bond prospectus to the CSSF in Luxembourg.

Why? Thanks to massive public pressure, Israel’s genocide bonds were forced out of Ireland. However, the CBI is still the lynchpin for the sale of these bonds in the EU. The CBI transferred the Israel Bond prospectus, on the request of Israel, to the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) in Luxembourg, which approved the prospectus. Under the EU Prospectus Regulation 2017/1129 Ireland remains the “home member state” in the EU for Israel and the CSSF is acting as a “competent authority” of Ireland for the purposes of the Israel Bond prospectus.

The transfer, in violation of international law and with absolute disregard for the recommendation of the Joint Oireachtas Committee Report on Israeli Bonds, enables Israel to raise funds in the EU for actions  which include genocide, apartheid, occupation, collective punishment, interment and forced starvation.

IPSC Chairperson Zoë Lawlor said: “The Central Bank agreement, nearly two years into the genocide in Gaza, to Israel’s request to transfer the Israel Bond prospectus to the CSSF in Luxembourg was a shameful duplicitous act of complicity in genocide. The intention of the transfer was to ensure continued access to EU markets for apartheid Israel’s fundraising for genocide. Offshoring renewal does not absolve the CBI of responsibility, nor does it absolve the government of responsibility to take immediate action to end the Central Bank’s facilitation of the sale of Israel Bonds.

We demand that the Government take all necessary actions to stop the CBI, directly and through transfer, enabling the sale of apartheid Israel’s war bonds which directly fund its crimes against the Palestinian people.”

Speakers:

Abubaker Abed, Palestinian journalist and Gaza genocide survivor

Sen. Chris Andrews, participant on Gaza Sumud Flotilla

Naoise Dolan, writer and journalist, participant on the Thousand Madleens Flotilla

Barry Heneghan TD, participant on Thousand Madleens Flotillas.

Miral Khaled Qudaih, Gaza genocide survivor

Covid Inquiry hears Seren's story: "School became terrifying". "I was coughed at, sworn at, verbally abused and physically intimidated".

Please watch & share Seren's testimony, given recently to the UK Covid inquiry. She was forced to leave school half way through her A-levels, having become the target of sustained bullying, abuse & intimidation - not just from other students, but from staff & parents too.

Why? She dared to continue masking to protect her disabled little sister when everyone around her wanted to pretend the pandemic was over. Afterall, we were given official permission not to care about the clinically vulnerable. By continuing to care, Seren defied official government guidance to forcibly infect everyone, including the disabled, elderly and clinically vulnerable. For the crime of following the science, refusing to consent to mass infection & salting the vibes, Seren was ruthlessly, cruelly targeted & punished. Welcome to our post caring era.

Extracts from Seren's testimony👇

"I was the only child masked and became the target for bullying"

"I was coughed at, sworn at, verbally abused and physically intimidated". Not just by other students, but by staff & other parents too

"School became terrifying"

Seren's burden, and that of many like her, is never acknowledged, such as: "The toll of carrying the burden of being the risk to your vulnerable family member, of having to advocate for clean air, having to defend myself for continuing to wear a mask or endure abuse for reminding people of a pandemic they'd rather forget".

"My sister's 13 now & still extremely vulnerable. Outside of my family, who is protecting her now"?

Seren's courage, moral clarity and defiance in the face of such abject adult failure, is inspirational & humbling. As I told her myself, you're the very best of us, Seren 💪💓🌟

TODAY: Two Years of Genocide. National March for Palestine to take place in Dublin

TODAY, Saturday 4th October the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign, supported by more than 175 Irish civil society groups, is holding a National Demonstration for Palestine to mark two years of Apartheid Israel’s genocide in Gaza in which it has slaughtered more than 66,000 Palestinians, and protest the Irish government’s continued refusal to hold the Apartheid state accountable.

It will be the seventeenth such national mobilisation since October 2023 - all of which have seen tens of thousands flood Dublin's streets in opposition to Israel's slaughter in Gaza.

Protestors will assemble at 12.30pm (NOTE EARLIER THAN USUAL TIME) at the Garden of Remembrance on Parnell Square, and will march from there to Leinster House for a rally outside the Dáil.  There will be a disability access point outside the back gate of Trinity, at the intersection of D’Olier Street and College Green.

Speakers at the rally will include Gazan writer and academic Yousef Aljamal, genocide survivor Dua'a Ahmed, Flotilla participant Paul Murphy TD, disability rights campaigner Sophia Mulvany, and IPSC Chairperson Zoë Lawlor. With performances from GroovelineSexy Tadhg, and Aoife Kelly & Eoghan Scott.Speaking ahead of the protest, IPSC Chairperson Zoë Lawlor said, "Two years into this genocide, and Israel's unrelenting genocide continues with at least 66,000 people murdered in Gaza, and another 900 in the West Bank. There has been a savage food and aid blockade for months — the only food available distributed by the so-called Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, spaces that have become sites of slaughter as more than 2,500 unarmed aid-seekers have been murdered by occupation forces. Between 50 and 100 people are still being killed every day - and more than 100 more Palestinians were murdered over the past 24 hours.

"We have also seen the illegal interception of the Global Sumud Flotilla in international waters, and the detention of hundreds of activists, including many Irish citizens, trying to deliver aid to Gaza.

"And the response of Western powers has been to keep sending guns, bombs, and tech to murder Palestinians. To distract, obfuscate, and feign outrage at comments made by people who are angry and upset by genocide. To arrest, assault, and now criminalise as 'terrorist' peaceful anti-genocide protesters. To try to gaslight us all into thinking this is normal. To do everything they possibly can to continue business as usual with this appalling genocidal state.

"And sadly, Ireland is little different. Simon Harris has called Israel's actions 'genocide', 'unconscionable' and 'unacceptable' — yet the Irish government is barely lifting a finger to end Ireland's deep complicity in this genocide. It won't act to stop the Central Bank offshoring of the processing Israel's genocide bonds, it won't stop the use of Shannon Airport and Irish airspace for transiting weapons to Israel, it won't stop dual-use exports to Israel. It won't ban the state investment fund — that invests our taxes — from investing in companies that profit from Israel's illegal colonial settlements. It won't even commit to ensuring the new Occupied Territories Bill bans both trade and services with illegal Israeli settlements - in fact despite promising the swift implementation of the OTB, we are still waiting.

"Let's make this Saturday, 4th October the biggest Palestine demo in Irish history, and together tell the government that there can be no more business as usual, no more pathetic excuses and hand-wringing statements — we want sanctions now!"

Forever-Covid hurts young people’s health – and their futures

My article in today's Irish Independent. The only mainstream media outlet in the world to allow the "Immunity debt" codswallop to be interrogated & debunked, from the start. Thanks to my lovely editor, Tom Coogan, & the Indo for not being afraid of salting the vibes🙏

https://www.independent.ie/opinion/comment/tess-finch-lees-forever-covid-hurts-young-peoples-health-and-their-futures/a58161326.html

“Immunity debt” doesn’t exist, immune damage does. Children are sicker now than pre-pandemic – many with disabling chronic illnesses. This cycle of harm can only stop when we accept reality – there’s no off ramp without cleaning classroom air".

Trigger warning 1: The article contains photos of children wearing fun floral masks. Note to anti-maskers: It's never too late to embrace science.

Trigger warning 2: The masks featured are not respirators (ffp2/3 or N95s), therefore offering little or no protection against airborne viruses, including SARS-CoV-2.

Note to those upset by that: I don't get to choose the photos. Please direct complaints to the chief medical officer for  negligence & dereliction of duty to inform the public that covid is airborne & that cleaning indoor air & respirator masks are proven to protect against all airborne diseases.

https://www.independent.ie/opinion/comment/tess-finch-lees-forever-covid-hurts-young-peoples-health-and-their-futures/a58161326.html

Excerpt:

"The British Medical Journal (BMJ) has just cited these studies as evidence that “immunity debt”, a theory to explain the global surge in non-Covid infections since pandemic restrictions were lifted, is being challenged by emerging evidence. BMJ documents the prevalence of bacterial infections, flare-ups of old viruses, and children being hospitalised with diseases not usually seen in young, healthy people.
In the report, Samira Jeimy, an immunologist at the University of Western Ontario, explained that as many infants and toddlers hospitalised with rare infections since 2022 weren’t born when pandemic restrictions were in place, they cannot be experiencing immunity debt.
They were, however, probably exposed to coronavirus, she said.
Prof Jeimy believes that people who are unwilling to consider the possibility of immune system damage are perhaps driven by a fear of what it might mean. As she told BMJ: “Nobody wants to be the one that says, ‘Yes, Covid-19 causes disability’.”
It’s the responsibility of Ireland’s interim chief medical officer, Mary Horgan, to disseminate these BMJ findings. Instead, children have returned again to overcrowded, under-ventilated classrooms amid yet another coronavirus wave, with hand sanitiser and Calpol as their only protections against the dangerous airborne disease".

And

"Ziyad Al-Aly, professor of medicine at Washington University, said: “We worry about kids’ educational attainment, forming friendships, sports. All these facets of normal development could be impaired in long-Covid. This may negatively affect children in their most formative years, leaving them scarred for life.”

Níl na páistí ceart go leor.

TODAY: Disrupt Complicity – Sanction Israel Now! Protest at The Dáil

Press Release, Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign, 18th September

The Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign is organising a protest Today Thursday 18 September, 4.30pm – 6.30pm at the Dáil to demand that the Government end all complicity in Israel’s genocide against the Palestine people, apartheid, and illegal occupation of Palestine lands.

Why? Palestinian civil society organisations - trade unions, human rights and civil society organisations, cultural and sporting organisations - have called for support to end complicity in Israel’s genocide against the Palestinian people:

“In this most horrific phase of the genocide Palestinian civil society is united in reiterating the call on people of conscience worldwide to channel their immense grief and anger to cut the links of state, corporate and institutional complicity with this genocidal regime and with all the institutions and corporations that enable its crimes. The utmost moral obligation is first and foremost to do no harm, to end complicity.”

Speakers will include: Anas Abusour, Executive Director of Aida Youth Centre in West Bank,  Ghada Ashour, Genocide survivor,  Mary Lou McDonald TD, Leader of Sinn Fein, Ivana Bacik, TD, leader of the Labour Party, Paul Murphy TD, People Before Profit and participant in Gaza Sumud Flotilla, Paul McSweeney, Trade Union Friends of Palestine, Ken Powell, Dubs for Gaza, and Rebecca Heslin, Vice-Chairperson Dublin IPSC

IPSC Chairperson Zoe Lawlor said: “Today is the UN General Assembly's deadline for Israel to end its unlawful presence in Occupied Palestine. Instead genocide, apartheid and occupation continue with impunity. We are protesting to call on the Government to immediately enact the Occupied Territories Bill to ban all trade with illegal Israeli settlements; pass the Settlement Divestment Bill to ensure that no Irish taxpayers’ money is invested in entities that assist or profit from the occupation; pass the Arms Embargo Bill that will prevent Irish airspace and airports being used to transit weapons to Apartheid Israel; ban the export of all dual-use items to Israel; impose a ban on the import or purchase of any Israeli weaponry, military or security items, and security or surveillance tech; and stop the Central Bank from funding genocide through the off-shoring of the approval of Israeli genocide-funding bonds.”

"These are just some of the measures that can, and legally must, be taken in order to help end Israel’s ongoing two-year genocide in Gaza, to remove the impunity Israel has enjoyed for 77 years, to ensure accountability for crimes against the Palestinian people, and to secure Palestinians enjoy freedom, justice and equality in the future. "

ICTU General Secretary Owen Reidy said: "The Irish public is horrified by Israel's genocide in Palestine. With the UN's deadline today, it's time for the Irish government to step up and represent the public's outrage. We saw South Africa treated as a pariah state during the apartheid era, we must now see the same for Israel. Trade Unions will join the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign will protest at the Dáil from 4.30pm – 6.30pm to demand that the Government end all complicity in Israel’s genocide against the Palestine people, apartheid and illegal occupation of Palestine lands.”
